it's official. george lucas is batshit insane

According to this story at Netscape, George Lucas believes that Empire Strikes Back was the worst of all the Star Wars movies.

Someone better check his midichlorian count; I think its dangerously close to crazy.

a agree. Empire was a terrific movie. I love the way it opens. In your opinion what was the worst of the 6? what do you think was the best?

I was unhappy with 3, I guess mostly for the feeling of "it's over" there will be no more. strange feeling to have... I saw the first one in the theatre when I was 5.. and after 30 years of waiting, there was nothing else to look forward to..

It was the best movie by far. The ending was rather unsatisfying, though (although not nearly as bad as the original ROTJ ending with the Ewok rock.)

Now that I'm grown, I can appreciate TESB's qualities much more...but when I was 12 years old, and got to the end of the film, I was like, "THAT WAS IT?"

Eventually, when Uncle George passes on, there will be an autopsy, and they'll discover that he was suffering from Flannel Shirt Disease. He will have finally succumbed from an insidious toxic overexposure to flannel shirts, turning his gray matter to a dark, confusing plaid somewhere around Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom and Return of the Jedi, rendering him only able to produce crap. (But crap with a good marketing plan, of course!)

One of the best pop culture moments in recent years: the Vader/Luke Cloud City showdown, recreated on Robot Chicken. "That's... improbable!"
