Wikipedia Trolls try to get entries on bloggers deleted
A well-known group of childish trolls is at it again, this time launching a coordinated effort to delete pages for several popular and well-known bloggers on Wikipedia. Their first (and current) target is Tony Pierce, and they say they're going after the Freeway Blogger and Violet Blue next.

You know... I never got why people like to do stuff like that...
Its really annoying when entries on wikipedia get deleted. However it does open a niche market for an alternative to wiki elsewhere which has all the articles that don't survive.
What's the point in folks having vendettas and trying to cut people from Wikipedia? What a pointless undertaking. (In truth, it feels like a "so what?" moment in the big picture, though it may bruise egos.)
Maybe I'm unhip, but I've never been able to get into Tony Pierce's writing. It reads like blogging in need of some Ritalin - and apostrophes. It doesn't feel like there's much substance there. Seriously, am I missing something?
